It’s been four years since we opened our Tool Centre store in Carlisle – a grand opening that we will never forget!
In the two years leading up to the opening of our Tool Centre, we had been working hard behind the scenes to get the building ready. Thousands was invested in renovating the building, filling it with quality stock, and getting ready to open the doors to our customers.
At the beginning of March 2020 we sent out invites to customers for a special preview evening, we invited the local press to attend, we started shouting from the rooftops about our exciting new venture.
On the 18th of March we proudly opened the Tool Centre doors for the first time…
Of course, we all know what happened next – the Covid pandemic hit and the world as we knew it changed. Two days after opening, with a brand new store full of products, we had to close the doors not knowing when we were going to be able to open them again.
Never ones to back down from a challenge, Directors Stuart and Alastair got to work, setting the Tool Centre up to provide products and services to support key industries that we all replied on to keep the country ticking such as our haulage, transportation, and agricultural industries. We also introduced products to help keep our customers businesses running safely such as sanitisation kits and air sanitisation units.
In April 2020, amidst lockdowns, operational challenges and changes, we opened our doors once more and have kept them open since – serving businesses and individuals across Cumbria and beyond.
As a thank you to all who have helped to make our Tool Centre the success it is today, we are running a special event in celebration of our 4th birthday.
